The Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) is seeking a customer-service oriented individual to fill this full-time, Security Associate – Roamer position at our beautiful Over-the-Rhine, Music Hall location. As a member of our Security team, this individual will play a vital role assisting in providing and ensuring a safe and secure environment for our performers, clients, visitors, staff and volunteers. The ideal candidate will maintain a professional image that includes greeting all visitors and employees in a polite and friendly manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General responsibilities include but are not limited to: regular patrolling of the facility and its perimeter in an effort to ensure a safe and secure environment; documenting and reporting potential and real security, health and safety concerns; assisting with load ins/outs for events; assisting patrons and guests with way-finding; assisting Stage Door staff as necessary including monitoring of security systems; delivering packages to resident companies within the facility; assisting with security set-ups for events as needed; making sure all safety and security supplies and sanitizing stations are stocked; assisting with parking needs for vendors, staff, valet and buses as needed; assisting with coordination/communication during emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must be able to exhibit appropriate, professional, and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients, visitors, staff, volunteers and the public. Must have the required physical ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs efficiently, lift at least 40lbs, and the ability to react quickly in tense situations in a cool and calm manner; will have strong interpersonal and customer service skills; strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Must be able to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a positive attitude. Ability to work effectively with a broad range of people in the community is essential. Basic experience with computers is a plus. This position carries a Monday and Tuesday, 9a-5p schedule with the remainder of the week requiring a flexible schedule. High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of two years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
