Clifton Cultural Arts Center
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
The Clifton Cultural Arts Center (CCAC) is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to bringing people together through the shared experience of art, serving over 50,000 people per year throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. Our new home in the heart of Uptown Cincinnati hosts classes, concerts, exhibitions, performances, and community events year-round as well as private event rentals. Additionally, CCAC is committed to Creative Placemaking – bringing the arts out into the world — in order to create stronger communities.
OPPORTUNITY:
CCAC is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven, and highly organized Development Manager to design and lead all fundraising and development efforts for our growing organization.
In this hands-on role, the Development Manager will oversee all of CCAC’s fundraising efforts, engaging with individual, corporate, and foundational donors while also expanding opportunities for people to volunteer and support the organization through other non-financial means. Working closely with the Executive Director, Finance Manager, a contracted grant writer, Board leadership, and volunteers, the Development Manager will play a critical role in strengthening CCAC’s financial foundation by cultivating relationships, stewarding donors and sponsors, building and managing organizational systems, and ensuring that philanthropy at CCAC is thoughtful, sustainable, and aligned with our values.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed to support CCAC programs, events, and guest-facing activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain momentum from prior capital campaign efforts as needed.
- Working with contracted grant writer, coordinate and track deadlines, required materials, and other data needed for grant submissions and reports.
Donor Stewardship & Relationship Management
- Own and manage the donor database/CRM, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, segmentation, and meaningful reporting.
- Personally process gifts and ensure timely, thoughtful acknowledgements and donor communications.
- Track donor interactions and maintain organized records, notes, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to align donor communications with CCAC’s brand and messaging.
Volunteer Engagement & Community Support
- Develop and manage opportunities for volunteers to contribute their time and talents in meaningful ways.
- Recruit, onboard, and steward volunteers, including fundraising committees and event volunteers.
- Coordinate with staff to support additional volunteer needs across programs, events, and facilities (e.g., gardening days).
- Staff the Board’s Development Committee, providing planning, materials, updates, and follow-up.
Collaboration & Organizational Engagement
- Work closely with CCAC Executive Director to set fundraising goals, budgets, and priorities.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to track revenue, reconcile gifts, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare regular fundraising reports and dashboards for leadership and Board review.
- Serve as a key internal partner across departments, contributing to a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck organizational culture.
