Be a part of history! The Freedom Center is looking for volunteers to help make its third annual Juneteenth Jubilee a success. As part of the celebration, we will be one of only seven sites nationwide hosting Opal Lee’s Walk for Freedom, a walk to honor Dr. Opal Lee and her decades-long advocacy to make Juneteenth a national holiday.
As a Freedom Center volunteer, you will help Jubilee guests find their way, guide walkers on Opal Lee’s Walk, support our performers, or help various parts of the event run smoothly, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how the Freedom Center makes it all happen.
This is a volunteer position. The application closes on June 18th, 2026.
