Call to Volunteers: Flavor of Findlay Support- Findlay Market

Interested in attending one of Findlay Market’s most exciting events? Join us in volunteering at Flavor of Findlay, next Thursday, September 10th, a night supporting Findlay Market’s local food entrepreneurship initiatives, food access for low-income individuals, community-building efforts, and sustainability initiatives. By connecting our guests to the night’s mission, you have the opportunity to be a part of one of the most impactful celebrations of the year, filled with local cuisine and incredible wine pairings.

We are looking for volunteers to assist from 5:00pm to 10:00 pm at our different Tasting Stations. By volunteering, you are eligible to receive four tasting samples throughout the event, starting at 7:45 PM. Please do NOT purchase an event ticket if you are planning on volunteering so that you can devote your time and attention to the volunteer tasks.

Tasting Station responsibilities include:

• Serving guests samples starting at 6:30pm. Until that time, Politely encourage guests to check out the silent auction or the bar and let them know that the stations will open at 6:30pm
• Serving guests only if they have a wristband. If they don’t have one, ask them to go to the registration table.
  Continuously restocking supplies–alert a runner or get supplies yourself if runner unavailable
• Make sure stations are covered when eating so someone is always at each station
• Keeping track of empty wine bottles
• Going through your event cleanup checklist with a CFFM staff member, and get cleared before leaving
