Website ArtWorks

ArtWorks is seeking 10 emerging artists (ages 16-24) to form a cohort of Gallery Fellows for a class series led by Artist-in-Residence Daryl Myntia Daniels. The classes will culminate in a group exhibition titled “Naps, Nebulas, and Neurons”.

Rooted in Daniels’ signature use of the Afro pick as both a drawing tool and cultural symbol, Fellows will use personal objects, memories, and gestures as mark-making tools to create layered prints and digital compositions. Experimentation with scanning, printmaking, and digital art techniques will uncover how texture, rhythm, and repetition can reveal hidden surfaces and unseen energy.

The classes run May 11-July 3 on Mondays and Fridays from 5-8pm at our Creative Campus in Walnut Hills, located at 2429 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati OH 45206. The final exhibition will open on July 31.
