Character Breakdown
MARY (Female, 50s/60s/70s, Black) – An elderly Black woman sitting on her lawn chair with her two small chihuahuas Diesel and Princess. She’s chain smoking cigarettes; she feels like your grandma and has a lot of love. Hip-Hop is blasting from her radio making it difficult to hear (lots of 90s songs).
CHRIS (Male, 30, White) – A 30-year-old skinny gay white guy. He has large soulful eyes that look far more tired than should belong to anyone under 50. He doesn’t get to tell his story often. He requests that his real name be used in this script. THIS ROLE IS PRECAST.
TERRENCE (Male, 40s, Black) – A gay Black man living in his apartment. He has recently lost his husband, the love of his life. He is tall, and has a kind, calming voice.
**Script is still being devised/written, but for any questions on material, please reach out to The Ghostlight Stage Company’s Performing Arts Director: aiden@theghostlightstageco.com**
