The Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) is currently seeking a full-time Custodial Services Manager at our
downtown Aronoff Center for the Arts location. The Custodial Services Manager is the leader, owner, and
facilitator of the Custodial Services Department.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Custodial Services Department oversees the cleanliness, presentability, and
readiness of the Aronoff Center for the Arts for all uses of the facility. The scope of oversight of the Custodial
Department includes general cleaning services, limited ground maintenance, waste management, and other
functions essential to the success of a safe and welcoming performing arts center.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Custodial Services Manager is a hands-on leader who establishes and ensures consistent
standards of excellence across custodial operations. They lead a team of full-time staff, part-time staff, and
supplemental labor, as necessary. They oversee training staff, establish recurring and specialty cleaning
schedules, ensure all event setups are executed, and maintain supply stocks and resources necessary for
departmental execution. They build and nurture a culture that champions continuous improvement, consistent
communication, accurate delivery of departmental duties, and teamwork. The Custodial Services Manager works
a full-time schedule consisting of nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to meet the responsibilities of
their role. This includes scheduling themselves to support the organization during particularly demanding events
or facility schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education & Experience. High School diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of four years related
experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in one or more of the
following disciplines: Facility Management, Custodial Services, Housekeeping, Hospitality, Cleaning
Services. Two years of management or direct supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge, Skills & Ability. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, written and oral communication,
and service recovery skills. Proficiency with computers including the MS Office Suite. Ability to read,
understand, and communicate in English. Ability to read event-related documents and interpret layout
diagrams. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and pride in delivering excellence.
• Physical & Environmental Requirements. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, move easily
up and down stairs, and climb ladders. Ability to lift, slide, drag, carry, and otherwise manipulate objects
weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform work duties outside in inclement weather. Must have good
eyesight or corrected vision to ensure completeness of tasks and cleanliness of facilities. Must be able
to tolerate exposure to noise levels standard in the live event industry.
