Hours: 16–20 hours per week (flexible scheduling available within shop needs)
Pay Rate: $18/hour

About the Role
Fiber Artist Supply Co. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Seasonal Studio / Shop Assistant to support the production and assembly of high-quality knitting, weaving, and spinning tools during our busiest time of year. This hands-on role takes place in our studio and is ideal for someone who enjoys craft-focused work, working with their hands, and contributing to a small, creative manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
– Assemble and fabricate knitting, weaving, and spinning tools according to established production processes
– Assist with preparation of materials and components for production
– Follow detailed instructions to ensure consistent product quality and accuracy
– Inspect finished pieces for quality control and proper function
– Maintain an organized and clean workspace
– Support general studio operations as needed during peak production periods
– Work efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail and craftsmanship standards

Required Skills & Qualifications
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work
– Ability to follow instructions and work independently after training
– Comfortable working with hands-on assembly and light fabrication tasks
– Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively in a small team environment
– Reliable transportation to and from Deer Park, Ohio, United States

Physical Requirements
– Ability to stand for extended periods of time
– Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
– Comfortable performing repetitive assembly tasks in a workshop setting

Work Environment
This position is based in a working production environment. Candidates should be comfortable working around tools, machinery, and wood materials in a hands-on setting. Safety procedures and training will be provided.
