Position Summary
The Holocaust & Humanity Center (HHC) is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing & Social Media Associate to support the execution of marketing, communications, and outreach initiatives. This entry-level role focuses on social media management, content creation, basic design, and outreach support.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Associate plays a key role in bringing HHC’s programs, exhibitions, and mission to life through consistent, engaging, and well-executed marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Manage day-to-day social media content across HHC platforms, including scheduling, posting, and community engagement.
- Create compelling social media copy and basic visual assets (e.g., graphics, simple videos, flyers) using established brand guidelines.
- Monitor analytics, track performance, and report insights to inform strategy.
- Stay current on digital and social media trends to support audience growth.
Content Creation & Marketing Execution
- Draft and deploy email marketing campaigns, event promotions, and website updates.
- Support implementation and maintenance of the organization’s content calendar.
- Assist with creating marketing materials for exhibitions, programs, education initiatives, and events.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across marketing materials.
Outreach & Community Engagement Support
- Assist with outreach to schools, community organizations, and partners to promote programs and offerings.
- Support marketing and follow-up for fee-for-service trainings and workshops.
- Represent HHC at select community events and programs as needed.
Administrative & Team Support
- Maintain organized records of marketing assets, content, and outreach efforts.
- Assist with tracking deadlines, requests, and campaign deliverables.
- Support additional marketing and communications projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0–2 years of relevant experience, including internships, fellowships, or volunteer work.
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic design tools (e.g., Canva or similar).
