StreetSpark Call for Painters

Overview:

The StreetSpark Mural Program is looking for supporting painters to assist with mural projects to be painted during the summer of 2026. Artists must have strong painting/drawing abilities; experience painting murals is suggested but not required.

Job Requirements:

• All artists applying to paint murals must be 18 years of age or older.
• All artists who paint murals may be asked to complete a background check.
• Artist teams will be determined by the StreetSpark Program Manager after designs are selected.
• Artists hired to work on mural teams will be hired as contractors for the Fitton Center/StreetSpark program.
• If hired, any related travel and/or lodging expenses must be covered by the artist.
• Murals will be created during the summer of 2026. Specific work dates TBD.
• Supporting Artists will assist in painting murals under the direction of a Lead Artist and the StreetSpark Program Manager.
• Artists should be able to demonstrate the following skills:Strong painting ability, including but not limited to, blending, rendering images, detail painting, color mixing, etc.
• Punctual, team-oriented, positive attitude, self-directed
• Comfortable working at heights on ladders and/or scaffolding

• Your current resume (PDF or Word format)
• 4 examples of your artwork – must be painting or mural examples (JPEG format)
• At least one (and up to two) professional letters of reference that demonstrate your mural/painting experience, work ethic, reliability, etc. (PDF or Word format)
