Summer Camp Teen Volunteer

Reports to: Education Manager
Dates: Weekdays June 1– August 14 (no camp the week of June 29 – July 3, or June 19)

Overview: Clifton Cultural Arts Center (CCAC) seeks multiple Teen Volunteers for our 2026 Summer Camp program. Teen Volunteers will assist Lead Teachers in the classroom by helping prepare supplies, providing one-on-one instruction to summer campers, and cleaning up supplies and classrooms. This position will regularly interact with Summer Camp Lead Teachers, CCAC Staff, camper parents and campers ages 3 – 6 / Grades 1 – 6.

Camps run in week-long increments from Weekdays June 1– August 14 (no camp the week of June 29 – July 3, or June 19). Teen Volunteers will be scheduled in 3.5 hour shifts in either the mornings or afternoons for one week, up to 10 camp weeks.

Key Responsibilities:
● Provide assistance with room setup and cleanup.
● Prepare art supplies for daily lessons.
● Aide Summer Camp Lead Teachers during lessons.
● Work one-on-one with campers during camp activities as needed.

Requirements:
● Must be 13 – 17 years old.
● Ability to follow direction and maintain composure.
● Access to reliable transportation.
● Ability to interact and build relationships with people of diverse backgrounds, personalities and working/learning styles.
● Experience working with children, particularly in a large group setting, preferred but not required.
● Ability to stand or sit for one hour or more.
