ArtsConnect is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to enriching lives and strengthening community through the arts. Since 2012, ArtsConnect has provided accessible, high-quality arts education, creative experiences, and cultural programming for all ages throughout Springfield Township and the surrounding region.

Operating from the Springfield Township Arts Center and The Annex at The Grove, ArtsConnect offers classes, workshops, camps, exhibitions, public art initiatives, performances, and special events. Each year, ArtsConnect engages thousands of community members through arts education programs, public art experiences, and approximately 20 community arts events that celebrate creativity, connection, and civic pride.

With professionally equipped studios for visual arts, pottery, woodworking, blacksmithing, and performing arts, ArtsConnect is committed to making the arts accessible, welcoming, and impactful for learners of all ages.

Position Purpose

The Youth Program Manager develops, coordinates, and oversees year-round arts education programs for children and teens, from preschool through high school. The position leads youth programming, summer camps, and educational initiatives that inspire creativity and artistic growth.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage youth arts classes, workshops, camps, and special programs.
  • Recruit, train, support, and evaluate instructors, assistants, and classroom volunteers.
  • Serve as director of the annual Summer Art Camp program, including staff recruiting, leadership, curriculum development and American Camp Association accreditation renewals and requirements.
  • Oversee and provide staffing support during kids theater auditions, rehearsals and show dates.
  • Coordinate instructor and student schedules for private event art parties for children
  • Support special events with children’s art programming.
  • Ensure youth safety, attendance tracking, and participant documentation.
  • Develop class descriptions, pricing, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor enrollment, program quality, and participant engagement.
  • Support marketing and community outreach efforts.
  • Collaborate with staff on facility scheduling, special events, and new program initiatives.

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in arts education, arts administration, programming, or a related field.
  • Licensed K–12 art educator preferred.
  • Experience with youth programming, camps, or community-based arts education desired.
  • Knowledge of child artistic development and arts curriculum.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

$24–$28/hour Depending on Qualifications
