Wyoming Fine Arts Center
Camp Instructor
Summer Camp Program • Seasonal Position
June 1 – August 7, 2026 • Monday–Friday
About the Wyoming Fine Arts Center
For 30 years, the Wyoming Fine Arts Center has been a hub of connection, creativity, and belonging in our community. Our Summer Camp program runs 9 to 10 weeks each year and gives kids ages 5–14 a chance to explore music, visual art, theatre, dance, digital media, and more. Every day we ask ourselves: how did we project wonder into these kids today? We’re looking for instructors who ask the same question.
The Role
Camp Instructors plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate sessions in their area of expertise. You’ll work closely with Camp Admins and Camp Assistants, who handle logistics and supervision so you can focus on teaching. Instructors report directly to the Executive Director and collaborate with the Manager on curriculum and supplies.
Compensation
$30.00 per hour. Each camp session includes:
- 20 hours of instruction time
- 5 hours of paid prep time
Instructors are compensated per session. You may be hired for one week or multiple weeks depending on availability and programming needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead daily sessions that are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with your camp’s theme
- Collaborate with the Program Manager on curriculum and supply needs in advance
- Arrive 15–20 minutes before camp begins, with materials set up and ready
- Maintain active supervision of campers at all times during instruction
- Create an inclusive, supportive environment where every camper feels welcome
- Communicate expectations clearly and serve as a consistent positive role model
- Keep your activity space clean and organized throughout the day
- Report any incidents, injuries, or concerns to the Camp Admin immediately
- Follow all camp safety policies and emergency procedures
2026 Open Camp Sessions
