ArtsWave Pride Celebrates 10 years

Every Day of Living is a Gift (2026) was commissioned to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ArtsWave Pride, honoring a decade of supporting and uplifting LGBTQIA+ artists, creativity, and cultural expression.

Every Day of Living is a Gift is dedicated to the memory and performances of Terry Noel, a Kentucky native and prominent drag/trans performer in the 50s and 60s. The title comes from a 2006 interview with Morgan Stevens. Morgan asks, “What does the future hold for Ms. Noel?” Teri responds with, “Well, Ms. Noel is now of a certain age where every day of living is a gift!”

ArtsWave Pride Grant Program

In 2018 we created a Pride Grant Program, an initiative from our Pride Committee, funded by a portion of the contributions made by Pride members to the ArtsWave Community Campaign. This specialized grant is awarded to arts organizations that create programming specifically geared towards the LGBTQIA+ community.
