ArtsWave presented the Macy's Arts Sampler February 18 and 19, 2017, offering Greater Cincinnati residents the opportunity to experience 100 arts events in 25 venues across 18 neighborhoods, for free!
The Macy's Arts Sampler weekend ended with an arts-filled day at the Masonic Center in downtown Cincinnati, followed by a special performance of The Wizard of Oz by the Children's Theatre of Cincinnati next door at the Taft Theatre.
Local musician Zak Morgan kicked off the day's activities at the Masonic Center with a sing-along story time hour in Founder's Hall.
Cincinnati Kung Fu wowed a huge crowd with a variety of martial arts techniques and performances.
A family took advantage of one of the many hands-on, art-making craft experiences throughout the Masonic Center.
The Northern Kentucky University Youth Symphony Orchestra performed a medley of classical selections to a packed auditorium.
The next generation of arts enthusiasts experienced many different forms of art over Sampler weekend, including a peek into the daily life of a ballet dancer.
What better way to end a fun-filled weekend then by dancing it out? A huge thank you to Macy's for the 11th year generously underwriting this amazing community experience, and to Dewey's Pizza and United Dairy Farmers for their support. And a last thank you to all of YOU!
