About CliftonFest

CliftonFest is one of Cincinnati’s largest neighborhood arts festivals, welcoming approximately 10,000 attendees each year for a free celebration of music, visual arts, local makers, and community creativity.

The 2026 festival will feature:

  • Approximately 20 bands across three stages
  • 60+ local artists and vendors
  • Chalk artists and interactive art activities
  • A free short film showcase at the Esquire Theatre
  • Performances, community activities, and more

The festival celebrates the many forms of creativity that make the Greater Cincinnati arts community unique.

Volunteer Experience

Volunteering at CliftonFest is a great opportunity for students and community members interested in the arts, arts administration, event management, community engagement, and creative fields to gain hands-on experience at a large-scale public arts event.

Volunteers will work alongside local artists, musicians, performers, arts organizations, and event professionals while getting a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into producing a community festival.

This is a chance to:

  • Gain practical event and arts management experience
  • Connect with Cincinnati’s creative community
  • Meet local artists and arts organizations
  • Learn about the many roles involved in producing a public arts event
  • Help create a memorable experience for thousands of attendees

Volunteer Roles

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available throughout the day, including:

Artist & Vendor Support

  • Assist local artists and vendors with day-of needs
  • Help provide breaks and support for vendors throughout the festival

Activities & Guest Experience

  • Help run interactive art activities and community areas
  • Welcome attendees and help create a positive festival experience

Photography & Media Support

  • Capture moments throughout the festival for promotional use and documentation

Setup & Cleanup

  • Assist with preparing festival spaces before the event
  • Help with breakdown and cleanup after the festival concludes

Additional Event Support

  • Help with hospitality, guest services, and other day-of festival needs
