The first of 12 ArtsWave Days for 2018 came last Saturday with Play Day. Nearly 1,000 people experienced performances, singing, dancing, face painting and more at The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Campbell County Libraries, The Carnegie and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company.

For the next two weeks, we’ll celebrate Valentine’s Day. This weekend, we’ll focus on the kids and put a spotlight on community arts. Your littlest valentine will be able to sing, move, listen and create at 10+ community arts centers, libraries, museums and other venues for I ♥ Arts. Each location has unique, interactive experiences to enjoy, from hip hop to folk music, from anime to pottery, from belly dance to Irish step and more. Next weekend, we’ll change up the focus and celebrate Valentine’s Day with a night out on the town. Date Night will feature wine tasting with performances, followed by shows at three hot OTR venues: Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati and Music Hall. At Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Tracy Walker will give a folk, blues, jazz and rock performance before "Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner." At the Transept, Queen City Opera will perform songs about love and wine before Ravel’s "La Valse" at Music Hall. At Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, Americana folk group Full Moon Ranch will perform before "The Humans."

At all three, wine tastings will be available in partnership with the International Wine Festival, with proceeds benefitting the 2018 ArtsWave Community Campaign and the Festival.
