For more than three months, more than two dozen community organizations, artists, residents and stakeholders from across Greater Cincinnati have been gathering at ArtsWave to go through a creative placemaking training program led by Design Impact. The groups are tackling civic issues five of our communities (Covington, Madisonville, Price Hill, Walnut Hills, and West End), using existing tools and design thinking principles to look at an issue in a new way that combines art and community.

This community arts training program is part of a larger technical assistance program through ArtsWave, with support by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) to create deeper collaborations between communities and the arts.

It's one way arts are enlivening communities around Greater Cincinnati.
