ArtsWave and CAALA (Circle of African American Leaders for the Arts) are excited to announce our next cultivation event that will take place on March 21, 2017. We are collaborating with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company to bring members an exclusive experience that includes a Hard Hat Tour of their new home in Over-the-Rhine, followed by a reception at the Transept and a viewing of the final dress rehearsal of A Raisin in the Sun. Invitations to members were emailed earlier this week. Please contact Randy Martinez (Randy.Martinez@Theartswave.org) for additional details.

Also, if you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, on March 24, 2017, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center will be presenting Mandela: The Journey To Ubuntu. This world-premiere exhibition commemorates the life and legacy of former South African President Nelson Mandela through photographs by Matthew Willman as he revisited many of the locations that had played an important role in South Africa’s route to racial equality and Mandela’s personal fight for freedom. The Freedom Center staff designed the exhibit to travel to other museums after August, when it closes in Cincinnati. For more information, click here.
