ArtsWave Days, brought to you by Macy's, continues to connect Greater Cincinnati residents to the arts and to one another. At I ♥ Arts, nearly 1,500 came to community arts centers, libraries and more. At Date Night, packed houses at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company and the Transept enjoyed wine tastings and pre-show entertainment.

Our next ArtsWave Days event is Beer Choir Games at Urban Artifact this Saturday, February 24. Beer Choir Games is a celebration of community, vocal arts and, of course, beer, in the form of a sing-along in traditional beer hall style. All are welcome to attend for good company, good drink, and good—or at least, entertaining—singing. Beer Choir Games will make an ideal employee engagement event for companies whose ArstWave workplace giving campaign is currently underway, particularly for young professionals. The sing-along will be led by the Greater Cincinnati Choral Consortium, featuring members of over 25 local choral organizations, at one of the area's hottest craft breweries.

For those who are moved by a different kind of music, the following Saturday, March 3, is Jazz, Gospel & Arts at Cincinnati Art Museum and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Cincinnati Art Museum will host a diverse range of music and dance, all through the lens of jazz and gospel. After that, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park is generously hosting a free community performance (limited seating, reservations required) of “Marie and Rosetta,” in which the compelling life stories of two gospel singers set the stage for an inspiring evening full of roof-raising, heart-rending music.

This series, which evolved from the 30+ year tradition of the Macy's Arts Sampler, helps to bring our communities together and increase engagement in the arts by offering free experiences throughout the region. ArtsWave Days will continue through the end of the 2018 ArtsWave Community Campaign in April.
