As we near the halfway point of the 2018 ArtsWave Community Campaign, ArtsWave Days, brought to you by Macy's, continues to offer exciting new ways to connect through the arts. On February 24, a crowd of over 300 gathered at Urban Artifact to for a sing-along in traditional beer hall style. Last weekend, Jazz, Gospel & Arts at Cincinnati Art Museum and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park attracted almost 2,000 visitors to experience music, dance and a free community performance of "Marie and Rosetta."

Our next ArtsWave Days event is Get Active! with support from Children's Hospital and Frisch's Big Boy. At Sheakley Lawn by Nippert Stadium, arts and games will help you get ready for FC Cincinnati's 4 p.m. match against Scramento. Activities on the lawn will include Bollywood dancing from Nrityarpana School of Performing Arts, a drumming program by Melodic Connections, and a Dance and Dash booth from MamLuft&Co. Dance and Clifton Cultural Arts Center.

To prepare for the game, UC's CCM Preparatory and Community Engagement will help you make your own blue and orange vuvuzela and Rainbow Faces will be available to paint your face blue and orange. Retired players will also be available to sign autographs. It's all free this Saturday from 1-4 p.m.

Next weekend is Shamrock Family Fun, with support from Frisch's Big Boy. Join us to celebrate St. Paddy's Day in ArtsWave style with the entire family at Anderson Pavilion. There will be live entertainment and a free root beer bar throughout the afternoon. Get there early — the first 200 will get free rides on Carol Ann's Carousel! Learn to reel and jig with 4-Way, Cincinnati's String Quartet, featuring Irish Fiddle Champion Jack Bogard and dancers from the McGing School. Be sure to wear green!
