Fretboard Brewing Company is celebrating a 1-year anniversary all this weekend in their Blue Ash taproom. In partnership with several community organizations, Fretboard is hosting JAM SESSION 18 and will dedicate each day to a different cause. Saturday's cause is ArtsWave and the 100+ arts organizations that make Greater Cincinnati an amazing place to live.
Saturday events will kick off at 11 a.m. with a special beer release. In partnership with iconic Cincinnati brand Klosterman Baking Company, Fretboard has crafted a unique Klosterman Rye Bier, which brings the malt characteristics of rye together with a subtle spicy flavor from the careful addition of caraway seed for a well-balanced, copper colored lager. The new brew will be available on draft and in six pack, 12-ounce cans on Saturday.
Following the release, Fretboard will pay homage to the brewery’s Rock and Roll roots, with regional and national acts. Partnering with ArtsWave to co-host the day's events, fifty cents of all draft sales sold on Saturday will benefit the 2019 ArtsWave Community Campaign.
Local talent The Kyle Hackett Band will kick off live music at 2:30 p.m., followed by three regional touring and national acts throughout the evening: Joe Marcinek Band from Chicago, Joshua Powell and The Great Train Robbery from Indianapolis and Blackfoot Gypsies from Nashville to headline the show.
