Each spring, ArtsWave awards more than $10 million in grant funding to support a vibrant regional economy and bring people together through the arts. These investments are made possible by the thousands of people and organizations who contribute to the annual Community Campaign. We rely on grantmaking committees of more than 50 community representatives to help evaluate submissions and determine dollar awards each year.
ArtsWave is now recruiting community members to assist in evaluating grant applications for our 2020 Sustaining Impact grant program. Each review committee will provide a depth of experience, perspective and expertise that comprises the foundation of our funding decisions and characterizes the Greater Cincinnati community.
Individuals should have direct experience with the arts sector through either participation or volunteering. We are looking for a diverse group of individuals that are reflective of our region. Reviewers will be selected based on their knowledge and expertise in the arts, business, nonprofit management, finance, law and/or the community, but are not required to have extensive experience in any given area.
To be eligible, grant reviewers must be a resident of the Greater Cincinnati region — defined as the 15 counties within the Cincinnati MSA. Given the limited size for each review committee, ArtsWave staff will contact individuals via email should their service and expertise be needed for a specific grantmaking program.
Once selected, grant reviewers will read and score applications electronically and then meet at ArtsWave with other members of the committee to make award recommendations. This is not a paid opportunity. ArtsWave will accept online nominations through Thursday, February 28.
