The time has finally come. Thanks to generous donations and other support from the community, along with the tireless work of everyone involved, Music Hall is ready to open its doors to the public for the first time as a completely renovated and restored icon of Cincinnati's vibrant arts scene. This building symbolizes the cultural renaissance our region is experiencing. Music Hall stands not alone, but at the forefront of an immense wave of arts, creating ripples of benefits all over the tri-state area.

Tomorrow, October 7, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., we celebrate this new wave at the RE(NEW)ED Celebration for MUSIC HALL + MORE. There's no better way to celebrate so many new and improved cultural facilities than an open house for the entire community. To contextualize the celebration, ArtsWave commissioned the creation of "Behind the Buildings," a publication that explores the meticulous planning behind the new facilities at Music Hall and beyond. A limited number will be given away at RE(NEW)ED to those who reserve a copy here.

Starting just five days after RE(NEW)ED, from October 12-15, Cincinnati will be lit up with art installations, murals and projection mappings, spanning from Findlay Market all the way to The Banks, for BLINK. Dozens of performers and pieces of dazzling light projection will constitute the largest illuminated art event this country has ever seen.

These two milestone events are only the beginning. The fall arts calendar in Cincinnati is filled to the brim with the type of thrilling arts experiences the people of this city and region have come to expect. Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is already exploring the capabilities of the Otto M. Budig Theater, while Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati will christen their new space in the coming days.

Cincinnati Art Museum's Schmidlapp Gallery reopens on October 12 after innovative, transformative renovations, while Playhouse in the Park is just beginning their campaign to build a brand-new facility. Meanwhile, Cincinnati Museum Center continues to make great strides toward the stabilization and transformation of Union Terminal.

As we look beyond the next two weeks into the fall season and beyond, we see the incredible promise of the arts to put Cincinnati on the Map, giving all of us reason to be proud of our community.
