    Local entrepreneurs to bring tech-savvy solutions to arts groups

    Tidal, Greater Cincinnati’s first Arts + Tech Challenge, will unite two thriving sectors of the region's economy, bringing entrepreneurial innovation into the vibrant arts community. Part of the 2016 ArtsWave Community Campaign, the first-ever problem-solving event will be April 8-10 at Union Hall, 1313 Vine St. Conceived by LISNR Co-founder Chris Ostoich, the event is being hosted by Cintrifuse and sponsored by Fifth Third Bank.

    Procter and Gamble’s fifth annual Sing Off opened the company’s 2016 ArtsWave Corporate Campaign on February 3 at its corporate headquarters in downtown Cincinnati. The Sing Off featured seven choirs comprising P&G staff members from different departments, all competing to land a coveted spot in the CincySings Semi-Finals.

    Myles Yeazell and Matthew Adams are the first Cincinnati area musicians selected to perform in the Detroit Sphinx Competition since 2002. Both young men perform with the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra and are performing in a benefit recital January 19.

    The Cincinnati Arts Association brings into focus a different aspect of troops serving in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with the presentation of "Letters Home" at the Aronoff Center for the Arts. The production brings to life actual letters written by soldiers serving in the Middle East and is part of the Cincinnati Arts Association's Arts in Healing Program, which is supported by an ArtsWave strategic partnership grant.
